Social Value at
Bennett Architectural

At Bennett Architectural, we are committed to creating meaningful social impact through community partnerships, skills development, and responsible business practices.

Charity Work

As a company, we are dedicated to supporting local charities and good causes within our community.

Last year, we organised a charity event in which members of our team climbed Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in memory of our former colleague and dear friend, James Gilver.

All funds raised were donated to Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART), a charity that James devoted much of his free time to and held close to his heart.

The money raised helped support the training of new SSART members, allowing the team to continue delivering essential lifesaving services to the people of Staffordshire.

We are proud to honour James’s legacy by contributing to a cause he cared about deeply.

Apprenticeships and Work Experience

We believe it is our responsibility to support the future of the construction industry.

That is why we offer apprenticeship programmes to individuals in the local community, helping to train the next generation of industry professionals to work to a high standard while embracing environmentally conscious practices.

We currently employ several apprentices across a range of departments, including manufacturing, accounting, and design.

Recently, one of our apprentices, Kye, successfully achieved his Level 2 Engineering Operative NVQ—another excellent achievement from our talented team.

We are also strong advocates of the T-Level programme.

T-Level learners typically spend four days a week in college and one day in a real-work placement throughout their two-year course.

We currently have a T-Level student working with us in marketing administration.

Here is what he had to say about his experience:

“During my time at Bennetts I have been exposed to numerous experiences and opportunities inside the business, such as being given responsibility to create my own marketing materials including EOIs and case studies.

I truly appreciate the team at Bennetts, as they show me, they have confidence in my ability, and it’s great to put my skills and knowledge into practice in a real-world environment rather than just the classroom.

From my first day, everyone has supported me when needed and made me feel like part of the team.”

Environmental Sustainability

We recognise that the construction industry is one of the largest contributors to global carbon emissions, which is why we take proactive steps to reduce our environmental impact.

We strongly support projects that use Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and offsite manufacturing, as these reduce onsite waste—much of which would otherwise go to landfill—and typically improve energy efficiency.

Sustainable operations

Within our offices, we work to minimise energy use by ensuring that lighting and heating are only used in rooms that are in use.

Small operational changes like these help create meaningful impact over time.

We also recycle as much of our waste as possible.

Any recyclable materials generated from our work are placed in designated recycling bins on-site, and we ensure they are disposed of responsibly.
